A Closer Look at NAD+ Infusions

A Closer Look at NAD+ Infusions

Your body relies on a number of molecules and cells to perform vital functions. NAD+ is one of the most essential molecules for multiple metabolic functions. But over time, the number of these molecules declines, which can affect your overall health. Luckily, you can ramp up the NAD+ in your body through IV infusions.

At IVY Infusions, our team helps you feel your best through a number of different therapies and treatments. Leading our team is Sasha Beatty, MSN, FNP-C. Ms. Beatty offers expert care and specialized med spa treatments tailored to your needs.

What is NAD+?

NAD+ stands for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, and it’s a molecule that’s needed for a number of cellular processes. This molecule is abundant throughout your body, and without it, your body would essentially be dead.

This molecule is essential to the mitochondria in your body, which help to keep your cells working properly. Among NAD+s other functions are helping to turn your food into sustainable energy and keeping your DNA intact.

Essentially, NAD+ is the root behind keeping your cells functioning properly, to keep you healthy and fight off disease. They carry electrons throughout the cells to allow different processes to occur. It ensures that many different metabolic processes can occur, which allows your cells to thrive and create energy.

How do NAD+ infusions work?

When you come in for an NAD+ infusion, Ms. Beatty allows you to get comfortable. She then inserts an intravenous line into a vein in your arm, which isn’t very painful and only takes a minute or so.

Once the IV line is inserted, Ms. Beatty hangs the bag of fluid that contains the concentrated amount of NAD+. The fluid goes directly into your bloodstream, giving your body a strong boost of NAD+.

You may feel relaxed during the infusion, which usually takes about an hour or so. You can bring a book to read, or you can wear headphones to listen to music. Our team checks on you throughout the infusion to ensure you’re okay.

The benefits of NAD+ infusions

The benefits of NAD+ infusions are numerous. Because this molecule is essential to the cells within your body, all your body functions are affected when it’s low. However, there are a number of advantages to these infusions, including:

NAD+ also helps to slow the aging process, both inside and out. When your cells are functioning at their best, you have more energy and the rest of your body benefits. It also helps with your sleep cycles, allowing you better rest at night.

You can get many types of IV infusions, all of which help your body function correctly. However, NAD+ infusions are a great way to slow the aging process and help you feel your absolute best.
